Description

Join tea sommelier and wine educator Edward Qu for an immersive exploration of the shared and unique qualities of wine and tea.

This 19+ event includes a guided tasting of two curated flights of premium wines and teas:

  1. Ester vs Thiol
  2. Secondary vs Tertiary

Guests will receive a tasting booklet to make notes during the tasting that they can take home.

About Edward Qu
Edward Qu is a tea sommelier, oenologist, and educator known for bridging the worlds of tea and wine through sensory-focused tastings and cultural experiences. At Niagara College Teaching Winery, he manages winemaking projects and teaches courses on vineyard management and wine chemistry. Edward also serves as wine educator for Southbrook Vineyards and is a WSET Diploma candidate.

A passionate advocate for tea culture, Edward holds advanced certifications in Chinese tea and has shared his expertise through events at the Royal Botanical Gardens, Brock University, and major tea festivals.

Through SIMILARMINDSTASTING, he connects tea and wine lovers, while his tea tours in China offer an immersive journey into the heart of tea culture.
